♦prayer flags
Prayer flags can be hung from both ends as a decorative element or from one end so as to catch the wind.
Based on the reading in Genesis where the spirit of God moves over the deep in the act of creation and the portion in Acts of the Apostles where the descent of the Spirit is experienced in both wind and flame, the intention for the prayer flags is that our prayer is united to that of the Spirit who, as Paul notes, prays in us.
Five photographs or "flags" measure approximately 2.5" x 2.5" each. On the back side of the photograph are blank inserts with a small photograph so that one's intention may be written. The backs open and reseal. The flags are connected by a ribbon that also allows the flags to be hung. The prayer flags may also be ordered with a tassel.
